How Bonzora scores bonuses

One visible score per offer, from 1.0 to 10.0. Same formula for every listing on Bonzora.

The formula

Every offer starts at 10.00. Penalties are applied first, then positives are added back.

Final Score = 10.00 − Total Penalties + Total Positives

The displayed score may be rounded to one decimal (e.g. 8.25 → 8.3). Score breakdowns on each bonus page show the exact math where applicable.

Penalty factors

  • Wagering requirements
    High rollover multipliers (e.g. x40+) drastically reduce real value.
  • Max bet limits
    Aggressive $1–$5 caps limit realistic play and are penalised.
  • Max cashout / conversion caps
    Low caps put a hard ceiling on winnings from the bonus.
  • Short validity windows
    Bonuses that expire in 24–72 hours are harder to clear.
  • Withdrawal restrictions
    KYC delays, weekly limits, and pending periods all cost points.
  • Licensing strength
    Weak or unclear licensing carries a meaningful penalty.
  • Excluded games / markets
    Blocked slots or excluded sports narrow real usability.
  • Reduced contribution rules
    Table games or live dealer contributing <10% is penalised.
  • Unclear RTP / RNG disclosure
    Where relevant, missing RTP transparency reduces trust.
  • GEO restrictions

Wagering: x40 is treated seriously

Wagering requirements are the single biggest hidden cost in most bonus offers. Under Bonzora methodology, a x40 wagering requirement receives a full −1.00 penalty. Higher multipliers scale further; lower multipliers earn positive adjustments back. This keeps the score honest even when the headline bonus amount looks generous.

Casino and sportsbook are scored separately

Many brands run both a casino welcome bonus and a sportsbook welcome bonus with different wagering, cashout caps, and validity windows. Bonzora scores them as two separate offers when they have different terms — so a strong sportsbook bonus is never dragged down by a weaker casino promotion, and vice versa.

Paid placement does not decide the score
